Terms of service
Last updated: 25 July 2026
1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms of Service apply when you:
- Visit or use a website operated by DIFFLS LTD;
- Purchase products from us;
- Use our cart, checkout or customer-service features; or
- Interact with our brands, including Diffls and Formstead.
Please read these terms before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
2. INFORMATION ABOUT US
The seller is:
DIFFLS LTD
Company number: 16285040
Registered in England and Wales
Registered office: Office 5889, 58 Peregrine Road, Ilford, England, IG6 3SZ
Email: hello@diffls.com
Diffls and Formstead are brands operated by DIFFLS LTD.
Our registered office is not our returns address.
3. ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.
You must provide complete, accurate and current information during checkout.
You must not use our website or products for unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorised purposes.
4. PRODUCTS
We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately.
However:
- Colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, screen settings and device calibration;
- Textile texture, pile and appearance may vary slightly between items;
- Measurements are approximate and may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances;
- Packaging may change without affecting the product; and
- Lifestyle photographs are illustrative and furniture dimensions may vary.
Please check the product description, dimensions, colour and selected variant carefully before ordering.
5. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
All orders are subject to availability.
Adding an item to a cart does not reserve it.
If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we may cancel the affected item and refund any amount paid for it. We will contact you using the details supplied with the order.
6. PRICES AND VAT
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling.
Consumer-facing prices include VAT where applicable unless clearly stated otherwise.
We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.
If a price, discount or product description contains an obvious error, we may contact you before accepting the order. You may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a refund.
7. PLACING AN ORDER
The checkout process allows you to review and correct information before submitting an order.
When you submit an order, you make an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
Our acceptance normally occurs when we confirm that the order has been accepted for fulfilment or dispatched.
A contract is formed between you and DIFFLS LTD when we accept your order.
8. WHEN WE MAY REFUSE OR CANCEL AN ORDER
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- The item is unavailable;
- Payment is not authorised;
- We cannot verify the order information;
- We suspect fraud, abuse or unauthorised activity;
- There is an obvious pricing or listing error;
- A promotion has been misused;
- Delivery to the supplied address is unavailable; or
- Accepting the order would breach the law or these terms.
Where we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the relevant amount.
9. PAYMENT
Payment is taken through the payment methods offered at checkout.
Payment services are provided by Shopify and its payment partners.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied.
We are not responsible for fees imposed separately by your bank, card provider or payment service.
10. DISCOUNT CODES AND PROMOTIONS
Discounts are subject to their stated eligibility requirements and availability.
Unless clearly stated otherwise:
- A discount code has no cash value;
- It cannot be exchanged for cash;
- It may be limited to one use per customer;
- It may be restricted to particular products, customers or dates;
- It may not combine with another discount;
- It cannot be applied retrospectively to a completed order; and
- We may withdraw or amend a promotion before an order is placed.
WELCOME10 is intended for eligible first-time customers and is subject to the conditions displayed when it is offered.
The Buy 2, Save 10% promotion is applied automatically only where the basket meets the Shopify discount conditions.
Shopify checkout determines whether a discount is valid, applicable and combinable. The total confirmed at checkout is the amount payable.
We may cancel or withhold a promotion where there is evidence of fraud, manipulation, multiple accounts or other misuse.
11. DELIVERY
We currently deliver to UK addresses only.
Standard delivery is free on all orders unless stated otherwise before checkout.
Estimated delivery is normally 2–4 working days after dispatch. This is an estimate and is not a guaranteed delivery appointment.
Please review our Shipping Policy for further information.
12. DELIVERY ADDRESS
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Contact hello@diffls.com immediately if you notice an error.
We will try to correct an address before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that a change can be made once fulfilment has begun.
We may charge reasonable additional costs if an order is returned or must be resent because the address supplied was incomplete or incorrect.
13. RISK AND OWNERSHIP
The products become your responsibility when they are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them.
Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered.
14. DELAYS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We are not responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as:
- Severe weather;
- Carrier disruption;
- Industrial action;
- Transport interruption;
- Natural disaster;
- Public emergency;
- Cyberattack;
- Supply-chain disruption; or
- Government action.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the delay and keep you informed where appropriate.
This section does not remove your statutory rights where goods are not delivered within the agreed period or within the period required by law.
15. CANCELLATION, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
You may have a statutory right to cancel an online order after receiving the goods.
We also provide a voluntary 30-day returns period.
For full requirements, deadlines, return costs and the returns address, read our Return and Refund Policy.
You are responsible for change-of-mind return postage. We cover reasonable return costs where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed and we request their return.
16. FAULTY OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS
Products must be:
- As described;
- Of satisfactory quality; and
- Fit for any particular purpose made known to us and accepted by us.
If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed, contact hello@diffls.com.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory remedies in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
17. REFUND AND REORDER INSTEAD OF EXCHANGE
We do not currently provide direct exchanges.
If you require a different size or colour, return the original item in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and place a new order.
18. WEBSITE CONTENT
We try to ensure that information on our websites is accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all non-contractual website content will always be error-free, complete or continuously available.
We may update, suspend or remove website features where reasonably necessary.
19. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All rights in our websites and their content belong to DIFFLS LTD or our licensors.
This includes, where applicable:
- Brand names;
- Trade marks;
- Logos;
- Text;
- Product descriptions;
- Photographs;
- Videos;
- Graphics;
- Layout;
- Software; and
- Design elements.
You may use the website for personal shopping purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, republish, commercially exploit, scrape or distribute our content without permission, except where permitted by law.
20. CUSTOMER CONTENT AND REVIEWS
If you submit a review, photograph, video or other content to us, you confirm that:
- You have the right to submit it;
- It is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- It does not infringe another person’s rights;
- It is not unlawful, threatening, abusive or misleading; and
- It does not contain malicious software.
Where you expressly permit us to use submitted content for marketing or website publication, you grant us a non-exclusive permission to use it for that agreed purpose.
We will not falsely present customer content as an independent review where it is not genuine.
21. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our websites may use or link to third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers and social-media platforms.
We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that we do not control. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.
22. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.
We supply products for private and domestic use. Unless otherwise agreed, we are not responsible for business losses such as:
- Loss of profit;
- Loss of revenue;
- Loss of business;
- Loss of opportunity; or
- Business interruption.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- Breach of statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
23. PERSONAL INFORMATION
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Please review that policy for information about data collection, cookies, marketing and your rights.
24. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms from time to time.
The terms applicable to your order are normally those published when you submitted the order, unless a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you.
25. TRANSFER OF RIGHTS
We may transfer our rights and obligations under a contract to another organisation, provided this does not reduce your rights.
You may transfer your rights where the law permits or where we agree in writing.
26. IF PART OF THESE TERMS IS INVALID
If any provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
27. DELAY IN ENFORCEMENT
If we do not immediately enforce a provision, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
28. THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS
A person who is not a party to the contract has no right to enforce these terms, except where the law provides otherwise.
29. GOVERNING LAW
These terms and contracts between you and us are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live and may ordinarily bring proceedings in the courts of your part of the United Kingdom.
